Miss Forrest, who was in her 84th year, was the last survivor of the family and was the oldest daughter. James, oldest son of William Hutton Forrest, qualified as a medical practitioner and for a short time assisted his father, but latterly went to the United States of America, where he died some time afterwards. Another brother, William Forrest, was a sailor and ultimately settled in New Zealand, where he died in 1930. Another brother, Andrew Stephenson Forrest, was a solicitor. He also went to New Zealand where he died some years ago.
